RESEARCH ASSISTANT (F/M/D) ECONOMETRICS IN PART TIME (50 %)

The Chair of Econometrics held by Prof. Dr. Mehdi Hosseinkouchack is looking for a RESEARCH ASSISTANT (F/M/D) IN PART TIME (50 %) to join our team at the earliest date possible.
The position is initially limited to 2 years. The option for a contract extension is given.

Your responsibilities:

• Supporting of and collaboration in research projects and writing scientific papers
• Participation in planning and administration of courses in quantitative fields, in particular, in econometrics and statistics
• Providing support in supervision of Bachelor and Master theses
• Collaboration with students and student initiatives

Your profile:

• A Master’s degree in business, economics, econometrics, engineering, finance, mathematics, statistics or related fields
• Strong interest in doing (theoretical and empirical) research work particularly in econometrics
• Excellent English knowledge
• Proactive, flexible team player with excellent analytical skills
• Programming skills in Matlab (and/or R and/or Python) – having a working knowledge of Stata would be an advantage
